Soon
after singer/songwriter Steve O’Reilly and producer/guitarist
Matt Anthony were introduced by a mutual friend, Tammany
Hall NYC was created when the two musicians collaborated
on a 5-song demo in the fall of 1997. The band’s
popularity quickly grew as they began playing power-acoustic
guitar driven shows in a number of New York City’s
hottest nightclubs.
Tammany Hall NYC has released three albums: Back in
the Bottle (2000), Buddy (2003) and Eat
This New York (2003). Their music has also been
featured on a number of popular television shows, including “Sex
and the City,” “The Sopranos,” “Six
Feet Under” and “Scrubs.”
“We are driven and compelled to tell a story with sound. People
seem to be gravitating towards it, which only means that our
music seems to resonate in people’s hearts. Fame
is fleeting they say, but if you can touch someone’s
heart, your music will survive.” –Steve O’Reilly |
